Using Retro Fashion Items To Create Your Look
It is easy to blindly follow the trends as they appear in the fashion magazines, but it is best if you can create your very own unique look that takes inspiration from a number of elements. One of the looks that has been popular in recent years is to use retro fashion pieces to add character to up to date pieces and give yourself a unique look.
There are retro fashion stores and charity shops where you can often find interesting and quality second hand pieces that can be used to liven up an outfit. Sometimes you even find high fashion pieces from leading fashion houses nestled in among other pieces for an absolute bargain price.
Often you can find vintage jewelry that is both affordable and beautiful. A crystal necklace is something that you can often find in these shops and it can be used to liven up a casual outfit, depending on the design, or to make an evening ensemble something special.
Beautiful scarves from glamorous fashion houses can often be found at bargain prices in vintage shops and every woman should have a collection of scarves. These can be easily used with girls shirts or dressed up with office wear or fitted sweaters in winter: they are a very versatile fashion item. Evening purses and handbags can also often be found at vintage shops and add an interesting touch of style.
Buying antique jewelry is a great idea as there are often a range of interesting and unusual styles that you can find. Sometimes the joy of buying second hand items is the knowledge that there is a story behind the items that you may never know, but that you can imagine. Antique engagement rings can be very beautiful and have a very romantic feel to them. You can buy them to use as your own engagement ring, or for pure fashion.
Part of the fun of buying vintage is finding new things and bargains as you never know what it going to turn up in the stores. Another part of the fun is to change the pieces in different ways such as dying them, altering them and accessorizing them.
By mixing up new items from your wardrobe with vintage pieces it is easy to create an interesting and individual style for yourself. With some seasonal pieces blended with the older pieces of clothing and accessories, you will look at once up to date and classic at the same time.
Where are Cool places to walk around in the Los angeles area?

where else can you go where the is little shops and places to eat and clothes to buy that wont cost u so much
Melrose is def. the place to be if I hear your description. There are lots of Vintage stores overthere, lots of ''unique'' stores where they sell the tacky stuff you're looking for. They also have a lot of cool designer stores like ''Kid Robot''. This is the place to be in LA, so you probably get to see some celebs too, especially around lunch time. Maybe you'll see Michael Jackson and Mischa Barton, Nicole Richie, those are celebs who are often seen at Melrose.
Something else I always enjoy is Hermosa Beach. It's not like a huge place to go shopping, but they have funny little boutiques. They have lots of funny gift shops with, eg books which have the title ''what to do when you're under 21'' and when you open the book, the whole book is empty and cheesy borat shirts. It's a real fun place to visit and walk around. They have some nice restaurants and bars. If I were you I should go on a tueseday and visit the Dragon Bar, say you're from the ef school (even if you're not) and you'll get food very cheap. like 2 taco's for $2 and free refills. It's also a great place to fool around and take pictures.
I like South Bay Galerria in Carson, it's not really the mall thats fun, but it's the atmosphere. I like walking around , because they also have shops outside the mall and because everyone is really cool overthere. They just start to breakdance on the streets, having dance competitions right in front of your nose.
Alan Jackson and Wife Open Up About Saving Their Marriage and Fighting Cancer (Taste of Country)
Alan Jackson was the subject of last night's 'Backstory' on GAC, and the
singer's relationship with wife Denise was a focal point of the episode. Alan
and Denise have been married since 1979, so their relationship factors heavily
in his career and his music. The duo endured their fair share of ups and downs
since that fateful meeting at a Dairy Queen, but through it all, they remain
stronger than [...]
