Summer Was Coming To An End
Seated on kitchen bar stools, the two moms chatted amicably as they sipped their diet soda. The two girls were smiling and laughing as they blew bubbles with the bubble soap and wands they had. What a great summer activity.
They sat at the tempered glass top patio table under a bright green umbrella to shade them from the sun. They were both five and looking forward to school in the fall. It would be a big change in their lives.
They would need a new wardrobe including new rain boots, raincoat and umbrella. The children's umbrellas were now made without any sharp points to harm the kids. They loved the fact they could color coordinate the raincoat, boots and umbrella.
They chatted on about what stores to shop at for the best bargains. The school had already mailed each mom a list of what the kids needed to bring to class. In addition to school supplies, each child was asked to bring a large box of tissues to share, box by box with the entire class.
In addition, they were each asked to bring tissues to share will the class. Each box would be opened and share with all kids until it was empty. The teacher would then open the next box. They changed their focus to whether or not to buy a loft bed with desk for their daughters.
A loft bed gives more space to play in and a desk provides storage space. They decided to take the girls shopping later in the week. There were three or four furniture stores to check out to see what was available.
Safety was the first consideration. Next came appearance. Last but not least, they could let the kids select the ones they liked best.
The neighbors planned a shopping trip to the furniture stores and the local mall. They wanted to get school things while they were on sale. They knew the girls would want to stop for ice cream on the way home.
The kids usually stared at the large selection for ten minutes before deciding what flavor they wanted. Each flavor was delicious in their eyes. The moms usually had frozen yogurt to conserve calories. They did smile at each other at the thought of their little girls getting all sticky as they enjoyed their cones.
Later that day, the parents of one child sat on their modern bar stools, having some tea and planning dinner. They made the salad and discussed what clothes were on sale. They set an upper limit price for the loft bed and budgeted an amount for school clothing.
They acknowledged how fast the kids outgrew their clothes. Both parents were excited at the idea of buying a space saving loft bed for their daughter. It would have many advantages over a separate bed and desk set.
need quick suggestions on decorating my house w brown leather furniture, light tan h-wood floors, black end tab?
Hi please help! :0) Im horrible with decorating but I have to put together some ideas for a room especially wall color. I have brown leather couches, light tan hard wood floors and black iron with glass top end tables and stands. Would it be okay to add a dark red accent wall? I would put red throw pillows or painting with brown, black and red in them. or should I just keep a neutral color on the walls like beige? were moving into a house this friday. thanks so much for ur help!
Im horrible too... try using this tool:http://www.findanyfloor.com/VirtualRoomDesigner.xhtml
its a virtual room designer and you can pick from options like bedroom, kitchen, living room, dining room etc. its really great. change up wall colors, trim colors, flooring options, ceiling colors, area rugs, couch colors... the works. It gave me a chance to actually see what colors I liked and what I didn't like.
**my opinion** a dark red accent wall (try a dark terracotta red) would look amazing. I say more terracotta red than bold and bright because it will really compliment your couches and the black... it is a softer red but bold enough to add that POP your looking for... it will make everything flow really well instead of breaking it off in pieces.. ya know what I mean??*** I sure hope this helps! try out the designer and see what you like! i love this thing! have fun!
