Women's Gifts: Bracelets Are Always Appropriate
The past regarding bracelets is cloaked in mystery. No one is aware precisely when and where bracelets stemmed from, but as far back as the primitive Egyptians, both women and men wore highly ornate bracelets made of gold and embellished with precious and semiprecious gemstones. Other materials used in Egypt as well as across the primitive world were comprised of bronze, copper, wood, stone, bone and plant fibres. The pharaohs and emperors of the ancient world favoured bracelets that were highly detailed, and it's thought that the charm bracelet came into existence no earlier than 3000 to 4000 years ago. In the Byzantine empire, which controlled Europe and locations in the near East as well as the Mediterranean region from around 400 AD to about 1450 AD, people preferred a complex bracelet style that featured highly interwoven links. These bracelets were typically created from silver or gold.

Further to the east, the Chinese invented elaborate gold bracelets adorned with jade starting from around 2000 BC. Chinese bracelets of this period were very detailed with pictures of animals, real and mythical, such as dragons and phoenixes. The pearl bracelet also originates in ancient China because quality pearls were abundant there. From early times to recent times, China has remained the pearl and jade capital of the world. The Chinese also established the utilization of glass in bracelets. India, meanwhile, became a trendsetter in bangle bracelets. Indian bangle bracelets are very vibrant and feature remarkable bead work made from metal or glass. In India, women sport bracelets to identify their marital status.
Bracelets in the 1700s and 1800s
Chain bracelets emerged in the 18th century, with Paris becoming the heart of jewellery trends. Gold was the preferred material and opaque gemstones such as coral were well-liked. The practice of wearing many bracelets on one wrist came about at this time. There also was a revival of complex Byzantine styles. Also present was jewellery crafted from either fine gold or silver mesh. In the 19th century, the Victorian inspiration led to gems designed with sentimental value. Lockets and personalised jewellery were very popular.
Woman Gift -Contemporary Bracelets
Modern bracelets are usually adorned with top-quality Swarovski crystals. Swarovski is a premium supplier of precision-cut lead crystal located in Austria. While bracelets created from gold and silver are usually preferred, less expensive bracelets are at times plated rhodium, a silvery-white metal linked to platinum. Another well-known stone for bracelets is the pearl. Genuine pearls are very expensive, so faux pearls are often a smart choice. The best faux pearls originate from Majorca, Spain, where the fine points of their creation are a closely held secret. Faux pearls are placed in finish coats to grant them high gloss and lustre. Bracelets that join faux pearls with crystals are particularly attractive, particularly if the crystals are treated with the "aurora borealis" (AB) coating that causes them to sparkle with rainbow colours.
Woman Gift -A bracelet is almost always a refreshing gift for a woman. From casual to "glam”, most women have a wardrobe of bracelets appropriate for a variety of occasions.
