Easy London House Move
Moving home can be such a stressful experience and moving home in London presents a number of additional concerns and challenges. The roads are congested with nowhere to park and buildings are often inaccessible making it hard to get your belongings and furniture in and out.
My family and I recently moved from the flat we had occupied in Hackney for the past seven years to a delightful three bedroom terraced house in Islington. Our two children really need rooms of their own and I was looking forward to shorter journeys to work. So we decided to use the services of a specialist London removals company, and I'm so glad that we did.
We'd initially thought that we'd recruit the help of a handful of friends, hire a van, and do it all ourselves. But then we reallised the enormity of the moving task and decided to find out how much it would cost to get some professional help.
There are definitely a few 'cowboy' firms offering removals in north London. They want you to believe that they have the experience and skill necessary to move your valuable belongings without problems but after meeting some of them face to face I wasn't instilled with much confidence.
So I asked around for some recommendations and one particular firm came highly recommended. So I gave them a call and their man came to our little Hackney flat to assess what was required and how much it would cost.
My wife and I were very impressed. This guy had clearly been in the removals business for a long time and really knew his stuff. He walked around our flat taking note of the bulky items and asking about valuables like my guitars and my wifes paintings and ceramics. He then estimated how many cartons we would need and provided us with a guide price.
Now the price he quoted was a bit more than the quotes we had received from other companies, but they hadn't even bothered to take a look at what they would be moving. We decided that the additional expense was probably a good investment and booked the firm to move our stuff.
We collected the boxes from their depot and packed everything up, labelled the boxes, ready for the big move. We were amazed to find that the estimate of the number of boxes we needed for our stuff was dead right and we only had one spare when everything was packed up.
The following day the removal team arrived bright and early as agreed. Without any delay they swiftly and neatly packed their van with our furniture and boxes. Since our flat was on the fourth floor and all the furniture had to be man-handled down the stairs the removals men had their work cut out for them.
They quickly transported our belongings across north London to Islington where they needed to block our narrow road in order to unload. Luckily, they were very experienced in managing this situation and they had the van emptied and out of the way in no time at all.
Our furniture, the children's toys, my wife's paintings and ceramics and even my guitars were all moved to their new home in a matter of hours with no damage and no fuss. We were completely unloaded and looking for the box where we'd stored our kettle before lunch time.m. which was incredible. Using a specialist team of London removal professionals made the whole experience of moving in London not only stress free but actually enjoyable.

You should try http://www.freecycle.org, you will find free stuff there but there is no free shipping, you have to pick it up yourself or get someone else to get it for you.
