Types Of Wine Glass To Choose From
When entertaining guests for dinner it is always helpful to have the correct glassware necessary to compliment the wine you choose for drinking with your meal. The shape of the glass can change influence the drinkers idea of the wine that they are drinking.
If you are unacquainted with choosing the right wine to suit your meal. As a rule of thumb we would suggest that white wine suits fish, pasta, pizza and cheese dishes - possibly some chicken dishes, whereas red wine would better drunk with red meat such as beef.
There are two types of wine glasses these are:
White glasses
The white wine glass is generally composed of the parts: the bowl, stem and foot. Most white wine glasses will have a narrow bowl to allow for some oxidization. Even though you may not think so there is a lot of variance in the types of white wine glasses that are available to buy and come in a variety different shapes and sizes. There is usually a thinner lip to the mouth of white wine glasses that are made from blown glass and more acceptable for white wine drinkers. For white wines like buttery Chardonnay, a wider bowl is preferred.
Red wine glasses
Usually red wine glasses are quite large – very useful if you enjoy red wine! To allow the air to react with the wine more thaey also have round bowls at the base. The wine brings out an array of aromas that were dormant before this happening. A wide mouth of a red wine glass is suited to the wine drinker who enjoys 'nosing' the aroma of the wine whilst taking a sip from their glass.. Drinking from the mouth of a large wine glass gives the wine drinker plenty of room to swirl their wine meaning the wine will be able to breath easiier..
How do I disassemble a pool table?
I have an 8 foot table with three piece 1 inch slate that I've inherited. I need to take it apart and move it. How do I do this? What tools will I need? How do I get the rails off? How many people will need to help me?
Once its arrived at its destination, I'm going to let a professional installer put it together, put new felt on it, and level it.
One inch thick should not be too heavy for two people, please be careful with the weight.
You will need:
Needle nose pliers for taking out staple from the cloth.
Socket wrench for the bolts.
Screwdrivers
Hammer possibly
Razor blades (flat)
Dust mask
Garbage bags
Wrench
Allen Wrench for the pocket
These are generic and what I can remember when I was taking apart 10 foot snooker tables and 9 foot pool tables from Brunswick.
Take out the pockets first
then
You will need to start with the rails. Take them off by removing the bolts from underneath the table. They should be spaced out between the pockets
Remove the cloth by pulling out the staples.
When the cloth is off you will need to break the seams that hold the slate pieces together. use the razor blade to clear whatever was used to keep it together. The slate should be held down by bolts. You will need to remove them to take the slate apart.
Good Luck..
You may need modified instructions depending on your table.
Special needs, specialized design (jsonline)
Deborah and David Legg could see the day when they and their daughter,
Michele, would be in a better place.
After 27 years in their Sussex ranch home, they were eager to move into a much
larger house wholly designed around Michele’s special needs. They had
carefully planned it, using copious notes and experiences garnered from their
daughter’s 28 years of life.
The home’s wide hallways and large rooms would accommodate her
wheelchair. Exterior doors were flush with the grade. The garage was sized for
a van with a wheelchair lift.
“We made the house larger so that Michele’s wheelchair could go
around the kitchen table, go around the snack bar, go into the family
room,” Deborah Legg said. “It was designed where she could be with
us in every room.”
The master suite had two bedrooms separated by a sliding door. A specialized
bathroom featured a large roll-in shower with mounted and handheld shower
heads, plus a customized toilet area. A lift mechanism was planned for
Michele’s bedroom to help move her.
Michele had Rett syndrome, a nervous system disorder that struck before she
was 2 years old. She couldn’t walk or talk, and required constant care.
